All setup parameters are saved as a component of the part program.
The E-TURN automatically predicts and calculates the behaviour of the tube during the bending operation. This is particularly useful for processing high-strength materials or stainless steel with high spring back to prevent the formation of unsightly marks caused by slippage at the end of the bend or early wear on the tools.
All without ever needing the intervention of the operator.
Adding a loader to an E-TURN tube bender allows for unmanned operation.
Designed to be used in a continuous production cycle, the machine does not required additional equipment: once the loader is arranged for either right or left loading and unloading operations are performed automatically. Programming of the loader is via the VGP3D programming software and is included in the part program. This ensures maximum process efficiency.
Sensors fitted on the machine automatically stop production if problems arise. This means that processes are always reliable and safe and prevents wasting materials even when the machine is operating unmanned.
All machine movements are via electric servos. Part bend positions, tooling information, and power parameters are all saved together in the part program. When a job is repeated you simply mount the tools and recall the program. No futher mechanical adjustments are needed. This guarantees quick setup and changeover and provides lot to lot repeatability. It also eliminates the need for a bender set up specialist.
All electric operation offers simplified wiring and the elimination of hydraulic components. This reduces the need for routine maintenance and provides more consistant bending. The obvious advantage is that the E-TURN is easier to maintain, safer to use and more reliable.

It takes just a moment to start production: import a file directly from 3D CAD or input the tube geometric data. The VGP3D software automatically creates a ready to run part program.

it checks part feasibility, eliminating the risk of collisions which typically occur during the first practical try out
it calculates the real production cycle time in advance, slashing the time needed to create customer quotes or determine feasibility
it automatically generates the machine program.
Complete automatic importation and reading of CAD files files. Import round or shaped tubes. Work in the software same environment, off line in the office, or at the machine.
Immediate verification of the match between theoretical and actual. Measuring the distance between the tube and the machine component. Measuring the amount of interference.
Full graphic part optimization. Eliminates waste. The operator is able to redraw the part and start the production without assistance of a set up person.
Export directly from VGP. Faster (1 min. vs. 3.5 min.) than from CAD. Export full 3D tube assemblies including fittings.
Bending and laser cutting: this turns a tube into a finished product. But the use of two separate technologies has always caused difficulties. BLM GROUP machines are created to seemless marry these two technologies solving the problems of locating holes on bent tubular products. All automatically.
