The client

Gruppo Manni HP S.p.A.'s primary business is steel working. They produce pre-processed steel elements, components and structural systems for buildings and systems in various sectors.

A fundamental element in the organizational structure is CMM, based in the province of Mantua, which is one of Europe’s top laser processor of steel sheets and tubes.

The target

With a view to entering and gaining a footing in the market for the construction of large structures, such as ports, airports, bridges, railways, CMM needed to implement technology that would make it competitive in large tube processing.

The solution

The BLM GROUP laser cutting systems for tubes and large sections proved to be the best technological solution to reduce design and installation times. As a result, CMM can make prefabricated structures in-house and complete assembly on-site with precision and no additional post-processing work.
This has allowed CMM to win important contracts, including the construction of the Piazza Garibaldi underground station in Naples, where 80% of the structure was made using the LT24 system.

LT24
The LT24 laser cutting system for large tubes and sections can cut tubes up to 610 mm (24”) in diameter and up to 18 m (59’) in length. 3D laser cutting can create extremely precise notches and chamfers that are ideal for quick assembly and installation of the structure.
