LT Combo Fiber is a combined automatic system for the laser cutting of tubes and sheet metal, designed to work with a fiber laser source.
The machine design allows the changeover from sheet to tube and vice versa, without requiring any re-equipment and/or change of configuration.
Together with the traditionally workable materials like mild steel and stainless steel, the characteristics of the new fiber laser source is that it can cut highly-reflective materials, such as copper, brass and aluminium.
In some cases the reducing of costs is particularly considerable, thanks to the increase of the cutting speed combined with the reducing in consumption of the new laser source.
Safety is an important issue for fiber laser technology and because of that the system has been equipped with appropriate repairs and advanced active protection devices. In order to contain the whole machining area within sure borders, the dimension of the sheet pallet is 3000 x 1500 mm, while the maximum unloadable tube length is 6500 mm (the standard loadable bar length is from 6500 mm up to 8000 mm and 12.500mm).
The tube line is equipped with two spindles, which handle and address the bar along the machining line; the cutting process is realized combining the rotation movement of tubes with the shifting of the focalization head along the longitudinal and transversal axis, without tube shifting movements: this solution allows high dynamic performances, especially when there's the machining of heavy tubes. The bar and the machined pieces are carried and guided by support shapes (patented) that can be adapted to any type of section, without any type of re-tooling or specific equipment.
The machine is equipped with 3 KW laser source and it's provided with a complete technological database for every type of material and for both working process (tube and sheet): it shows the higher degree in the sector of laser cutting technology in terms both of flexibility and innovative content.

- An automatic regulation device of the laser source (automatic focalization) allows the completely automatic changeover of the focus in according with material and thickness. (OPZ)
- Graphic Simulation of the machining, which makes the verification of the working program easier for the operator. The single elements forming the cutting progress can be analyzed from a geometric and technological point of view simply by selecting them with the mouse.
- Detector systems for the position of sheet and tube.
- Active protection systems with the purpose of assuring the maximum safety in every working condition with the fiber laser source.
The flexibility of a sheet/tube combined system together with several new opportunities offered by fiber laser source technology on highly-reflective materials.
In order to take advantage of the considerable productivity increases on some material and thickness combinations, and in the meantime to take advantage from the general cost reduction of the piece.
The absence of maintenance of the laser source and the elimination of different fixed costs (for example the pressurization of optical line with gas is not needed anymore) make the LT COMBO Fiber a surely interesting investment.
In order to take the chance to execute machining processes that until today have been critical or even impossible: galvanized steel and aluminium (6060, 1050) are easily workable thanks to the fiber laser cutting technology, without any risk for the integrity of the machine and the laser source.
